The inspiration for this ‘pure white’ home decoration was a sophisticated enclave of serenity and calm. To that end, the Joanna Wood team chose a monochromatic scheme in all white and incorporated light reflective materials.
The crisp white sofa in the Living room has lucite legs to give a feeling of space. Other light enhancing furniture included lucite stool and a floating base on the coffee table and some perspex accessories. The audio visual cabinet is wall mounted giving the appearance of floating and clean. |

Some of the furniture and fittings in the house have highly reflective surfaces (for example the white lacquer audio visual cabinet and the polished chrome tables with glass tops, and other mirrored surfaces). All of the furnishings and artwork are beautifully set off by soft custom designed mood lighting using a Lutron system. The petite ‘Maison Blanc’ includes clever space saving techniques like a built in desk and bookshelf area in the entry lobby as well as built in wall storage in living room backlit with LED lights. Sliding panels give residents the option to close off the lobby for entertaining. |
