Joanna Wood (Commercial) Ltd A new design company was launched to deal solely with the commercial side of Joanna’s business, which has been growing from strength to strength over the last few years. Our experience covers a variety of contracts from high profile show flats through boardrooms and company offices to hotel work. Our company includes all of the skill sets required for this specialist work. We are also able to prepare high specification property for the top end of the rental residential market. Joanna Wood (Commercial) Ltd has undertaken work for an impressive list of clients including The Knightsbridge, Dukes Hotel, St James’s, General Utilities, Three Valleys and The Garrick Club. This is in addition to Joanna Trading’s long and enviable list of on-going clients for whom she has worked for many years. The list is too long to reproduce here, but includes such names as The Grosvenor Estates, Taylor Woodrow, London and Edinburgh Trust, The London Business School, P&O Developments, Rothmans International, Speyhawk and Chelsea Harbour.

Joanna Wood Ltd As the Joanna Trading business developed, the stock of styling accessories and ideas used by Joanna Wood and her designers escalated. Prompted by demand for these ideas from clients and the public, Joanna opened her retail shop in 1985 on Pimlico Road. The shop is stocked with items found by Joanna on buying trips all over Europe and from small scale producers in the UK. Lewis & Wood In 1994 Joanna launched a major new fabric company. To date the current Lewis & Wood range comprises over 350 fabrics and wallpapers which have already been sold into all major fabric stockists in England and are currently being exported to America, France, Scandinavia, Australia, Belgium and Germany. The company is planning major expansion and is setting up export agents in Spain and Italy.

G&J Kelly, founded in 1940, was one of Britain’s oldest and most established upholstery companies with a reputation for fine quality craftsmanship. Joanna, who had used the company as a supplier for years, identified that the company badly needed an injection of business, marketing and design expertise in order to achieve its true potential. Joanna became a partner in 1995 and the company renamed Lawson Wood.
